What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at TAD PGS?
We have an outstanding Contract position for an Inventory Control Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Garden City, NY surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $25
This position controls the inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and updates schedules to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls
- Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules to help guide reordering levels for product availability
- Supports with the inventory system
- Works with the Material Handlers in supporting the operation's on-time efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of previous materials experience or applicable experience required
- Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a US Citizen or a Green card holder
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be able to complete heavy work assignments while remaining detail-oriented
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and can work in a face paced environment
- Must have a flexible schedule to be able to work overtime as required
- Must be able to communicate, in English effectively both in written and verbal form
- Knowledgeable with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Agile, or any other ERP system) is a plus
- Ability to lift at 40lbs and have the ability to constantly be standing for at least 6-8 hours during the day
