BigFix Engineer

Dept. of Homeland Security Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program | CDM

Key Role:

Work with a highly skilled team focused on implementing and operating next generation security solutions for government and commercial clients. Perform hands on evaluation, implementation, and operation of leading security Cyber defense tools and technologies, apply defense-in-depth strategies in large and complex networks to rapidly identify vulnerabilities and threats, prioritize response actions, and develop effective countermeasures. Apply thought leadership in a highly collaborative and innovative work environment to solve complex security challenges.

Qualifications - External Basic Qualifications:

• -2 years of experience with designing, implementing, configuring, and operating information security continuous monitoring tools, including IBM BigFix, ForeScout CounterACT, Tenable Nessus and Security Center, Tripwire IP360, and other leading vendor tools
• -2 years of experience with performing systems administration in Windows, Linux, or VMware environments, including performing installation and configuration, monitoring system performance and availability, performing upgrades, and troubleshooting
• -Experience with performing site surveys, data gathering, and research and analysis related to deploying and implementing security tools
• -Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• -Ability to obtain a security clearance
• -BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• -Experience with working in large federal agency environments, including USPS, HHS, SSA, Treasury, GSA, and NASA
• -Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks and the federal security authorization, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
• -BA or BS degree in IT Security, Engineering, or a related field
• -CISSP, Security , or a related Certification
