Title:(Cloud Engineer)
Client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to assist with the cloud infrastructure migration of a strategic merchant payment platform - SnapPay.
About the team:
SnapPay is part of the Carat B2B Enterprise Products team, which delivers solutions that enable large and mid-sized B2B sellers to digitize their business payments management. Our leading product, SnapPay, directly integrates with our clients' ERPs/e-commerce platforms and automates payments and financial workflows that otherwise cost clients significant time and manual effort. As a Cloud Engineer, you can look forward to:
• Design, implement, manage, secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure environments.
• Build, troubleshoot and optimize container-based cloud infrastructures.
• Migrate applications from On-Prem to Cloud environments.
• Lead complex initiatives, issues, and projects to improve the infrastructure services by working with multiple cross-functional teams.
• Lead troubleshooting to identify root cause for impacting issues & make recommendations for permanent solution to problems across cloud platforms.
• Work closely with application development teams and influence improvements elated to performance, architecture, design, and resiliency.
• Recommend strategies for improving the process, monitoring, and alerting of Cloud infrastructure environments.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 years of total Engineering, Cloud operation, DevOps, Production support and Administration or similar experience.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure or AWS Cloud technology provider is desired.
• Solid understanding of Cloud technology concepts, topologies, and service models (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, CaaS & FaaS).
• Experience working with Azure and AWS Cloud providers.
• Experience working with ECS, EKS, ELB, EC2, Route 53, S3, Lambda, ACM, VPC and IAM services in the AWS Cloud environment.
• Experience working with Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Block Blob, Container, Kubernetes, Functions, VNet, SQL and Traffic Manager services in the Azure Cloud environment.
• Provision cloud resources via Infrastructure as a Code tools like Hashicorp Terraform.
• Experience working with Containerization Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge and experience in working with SSL certificates.
• Select, Implement, and tune continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) technology platforms.
• Secure cloud environments by provisioning resources in an adaptable way and remediate Cloud vulnerabilities on an ongoing basis.
• Strong understanding of popular operating systems like Linux and Windows.
• Hands on scripting experience using Shell or Python scripting languages to automate software builds and config management.
• Experience with log collection tools and analysis like Splunk, as well as infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices like App Dynamics and Dynatrace.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database and related technologies (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, MongoDB).
• Experience with networking and security concepts, methods and technologies in large scale, production Azure and AWS environments.
• Experience with configuring connectivity between Cloud and On-Prem environments.
• Experience with tuning applications for better performance and availability.
• Experience working with CI and CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Harness.
