Job Description
About the role
We are looking for Seafood Process Workers to join our team. You will be guaranteed at least 30 hours of work per week.
As a Seafood Process Worker, your tasks may include:
- Manual handling of product
- Operation of processing machinery
- Monitoring of food safety and quality of product
- Blanching of mussels
- Packing mussels
- Opening mussels
- Training of new staff and leading a team (when trained and competent)
Full training available.
Pay
Base wage rates range from $24.00 - $26.50
Contract piece rates apply when opening mussels, with estimated actual earnings of over $28 per hour for an 8.5 hour day with an average of 11,000 mussels. You are guaranteed to be paid at least $24.00 per hour.

You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, and willing to learn.
On site training provided. Seafood processing qualifications/experience advantageous, but not required.
