Position : Specialty Pharmacy Senior Consultant – Remote
Direct Client Requirement
Job Summary:
The Senior Consultant will lead mid-size projects to support manager and leadership with ad hoc
projects to support the Program, GPO and client initiatives. Responsible for managing a portfolio of
therapeutic classes, including strategy development, contract negotiation, pipeline monitoring and
execution, resulting in program growth and value creation for Plans. Manage relationship with
assigned Blue Plans and Manufacturers, as well as supports Plan engagement activities including
marketing materials, webinars, newsletter articles and the annual conference. The Senior Consultant
will support development of and responses to RFP's and RFI's, contribute to other ad hoc projects to
support the Program, GPO and client initiatives, and enhance our analytics by informing and
reviewing required modeling.
Primary Job Function

• Grows the category assigned both through the addition of new national agreements,
• agreement expansion and Plan adoption/utilization. Responsible for the dayto-day management of contracts assigned.
• Has the ability to acquire, organize and synthesize
• 50% financial data and other information to identify and communicate key findings. ]
• Maintains financial viability and takes ownership of category. This includes:
• Leads mid-size projects and portions of larger projects to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
• Responsible for serving as key contact for assigned manufactures.
• Able to anticipate internal/external customer needs and propose and execute solutions
• Can direct the negotiations of major contracts under the supervision of their manager.
• Has a complete understanding of all sourcing process documentation.
• Prepares and presents reports, written materials, spreadsheets, promotional materials and presentations to support the work within categories assigned for Plans, manufacturers and additional stakeholders
• 10% Engages with Plans and manufacturers routinely through 1:1 communications, meetings, presentations, webinars, etc.
• 25% Conducts market research to validate category performance, identifies trends/new opportunities and is a subject matter expert within the category, particularly around emerging therapeutic classes. Ability to interact with stakeholder staff and external suppliers to lead in collecting information and conducting interviews/surveys.

• Required/Preferred Education Level Description
• Required Bachelors Degree Bachelor's degree in any of the business disciplines (e.g.
• Finance, Economics), scientific areas (e.g. biology, chemistry, pre-med) or liberal studies.
