What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at Tamashii?
Tamashii is growing and looking for a high-volume Assistant General Manager to join our team in Downton, Norman. Current locations are in Midtown and Edmond in Oklahoma. We are opening our 3rd location in Norman this Fall! This position reports to GM.
Tamashii is a locally owned restaurant, pivoted to expand and grow. Tamashii has a close-knit/family style environment. Qualifications are as follows:
· Minimum of 1 year high volume restaurant management
· 2 to 3 years of experience is preferred
· Bar experience/knowledge are preferred
· Mindset that puts guests and employees as high priority

· Must have desire for continual personal growth and endeavoring to be the best
· Must be consistent and professional and have respectful manner. Thrive in high volume situations and communicate well with Guests, FOH and BOH staff
· Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, prioritizing work assignments and managing multiple projects at one time.
Essential Functions & Duties
Guest Focus:
· Creates and maintains an environment of hospitality and excellence.
· Proactively seeks out and resolves guest concerns or issues and use such opportunities as development/coaching tools for hourly staff.
· Mentors and coaches hourly staff to ensure their focus is consistent with our standards and guest experience.
· Enhances customer satisfaction.
Leadership:
· Provides thorough orientation and training for all hourly personnel and new hires.
· Handles employee issues such as tardiness, cell phone, attitude, performance, etc.
· Handles issues between FOH and BOH
· Manages the performance of all assigned hourly staff members
· Effectively communicates the company’s standards, expectations, and changes in daily pre-shift meetings.
· Establishes a solid working relationship with the Kitchen staff to ensure unity between the back and front of house teams.
Quality of Operations:
· Executes and Enforces company policies and procedures.
· Maintain Payroll, Alcohol and Supply Ordering, and other administrative support to maintain food and beverage cost controls and inventory.
· Utilizes and accurately maintains all company established forms, binders & checklists.
· Maintains organized storage to ensure accurate inventory and clean environment.
Repair and Maintenance:
· Communicates facility maintenance repairs or makes necessary repair calls when applicable
· Provides a safe working environment for team members by maintaining the facility and ensuring equipment is in proper working condition.
· Maintains clean environment through daily inspections and updating duties.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
