1. Serves as an on site project supervisor, managing the construction of solar arrays per the plan sets provided by the Energy Program Manager and energy staff members.
2. In consultation with the Energy Program Manager, develop scope of new projects, assignments, approaches, time frames, and possible execution phases.
3. Keep the Energy Program Manager informed of progress and potential problems, concerns, issues, or other matters; and provide recommendations for changes to plans and/or improvements in order to meet the TCC Energy Program objectives.
4. Lead field crews both based in Fairbanks and in remote sites to execute projects on time and within budget.
5. Work with Energy Program Manager to assist with the negotiation of supplemental contracts such as electrical work with an expert understanding of project scope, skill level, and required hours to complete desired services.
6. Develop and maintain required project documentation, track project progress and budgets using standardized project management tools, and complete progress reports for external funding agencies.
7. Facilitate hiring and compiles new hire packets for Energy program hires.
8. Communicates and coordinates with the Tribal Administrators, tribal offices and other stakeholders on Energy projects and planning for their villages.
9. Prepare modifications and change orders for appropriate actions in coordination with the Energy Program Manager, the TCC Contracting Officer, and TCC Legal Division.
10. Manage purchase orders/invoices, travel authorizations and trip reports.
11. Is on site for any and all construction work and completed detailed reports where assigned including but not limited to daily reports, pre-final and final inspections, and post-construction evaluations. Ensure construction quality control, cost control, and completion within time parameters.
12. Attend Energy trainings, conferences, and perform village travel as needed.
13. Ensures the safety of any and all personnel the general worksite.
