A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Manages the configuration of multiple test environments and databases.
- Partners with infrastructure architects and other teams to lead the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives
- Assesses, recommends, and implements efficient logging and monitoring solutions that provide deep observability into performance and reliability of our cloud environments.
- Performs gap assessments and identifies opportunities to optimize test infrastructure management and operations through efficient use of monitoring, logging and best practices.
- In collaboration with engineering and operations teams, identifies, and implements strategies and best practices to reduce cost and maximize the business value of using cloud.
- Works closely with IT security team to integrate and deploy their requirements into all environment build plans and remediate infrastructure security findings.
- Develops necessary supporting documentation and provides training to other team members/teams on usage of infrastructure automation and orchestration.
- Regularly participates in Agile ceremonies, estimates effort during sprint planning and performs effective peer code reviews.
- Contributes to the overall team objectives and enthusiastically assists/trains other team members as needed.
- Actively leads and participates in assessment, evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and cloud services to meet platform needs.
- Manages source code effectively using Source Code Management (SCM) tools, processes, and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements with support from subject matter experts within the company.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- 5 years of experience designing and building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines for cloud infrastructure solutions deployed on Microsoft Azure.
- 2 years of experience with micro-services/containers/Kubernetes and serverless technologies
- Experience in implementing healthcare regulatory compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA, ASIP etc.)
- Extensive experience with infrastructure automation and configuration tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, Go, Python or similar technologies.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Artifactory, Harness, Bamboo, Vault, or similar toolset
- Proven experience working with a range of Microsoft Azure services: VMs, Blobs, VNets, ExpressRoute, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Traffic Manager, Functions, Files, App Gateway etc.
- Experience deploying and managing secure, scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems on Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of basic internet principles such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Networking, Load Balancing, etc.
- Experience with infrastructure and application logging/monitoring tools such as New Relic, ELK, Fluentd, Prometheus/Grafana etc.
- Experience with containers/Kubernetes and it’s tooling, such as Helm and Azure AKS.
- Knowledge and experience with FDA and ISO regulated industries.
- Ability to lead, contribute and thrive in a team environment.
- Able to work independently and deliver high quality work product without close supervision.
- Excellent oral, written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Strongly prefer candidates with Terraform and/or Azure certifications

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $115K - $140K annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
