Position Summary
The HR Coordinator completes clerical duties for an organization’s human resources department. The main duties include providing administrative support to internal employees, assisting the VP of HR and Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruiting candidates to fill open roles and providing assistance with other HR logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Concurring review of: Employee Handbooks, HR Assessments, Job Descriptions.
- Source, recruit and collaborate with Talent Acquisition Specialist regarding requisitions
- Maintain employee and client files, documents and records.
- Conducting or helping with new employee orientation
- Oversee incoming new hire paperwork flow (manual and electronic onboarding) and ensure new hire checklist is completed.
- Assist with I-9 documentation and ensure compliance.
- Conduct background checks and drug screenings
- Manage referral program
- Keeping process paperwork and employment records
- Assist with Applicant Tracking System
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Human Resources or related field)
- Minimum two (2) years of Human Resources experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or similar role; or successful internal demonstration of required qualifications and competencies.
- Proficient in social media platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter etc)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Strong skills in HRIS, HCM and/or payroll software like Ceridian, PrismHR, or other similar type of system.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Read, understand, and review documents for accuracy and relevant information.
