A rehabilitation network in Virginia is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to their Correctional Health team at one of their facilities in Augusta County. In this role, the Correctional Health Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing total healthcare to offenders (routine, chronic and emergency care) and maintaining continuity of care from admission to discharge.
Responsibilities:
The Correctional Health Nurse (RN) will:
- Respond to medical emergencies
- Administer medication; conduct sick call / medication refill
- Provide patient education and provide basic life support
- Document all pertinent information into the health record while practicing confidentiality and interfacing with other departments
- Provide employee health services in accordance with policy
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active VA Registered Nurse (RN)
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Salary : $102,000 - $130,000
