A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Enterprise Governance & Policy Principal for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Enterprise Governance & Policy Principal will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the governance structures that support enterprise-wide standardization, consistency, reuse, quality, and cost-effectiveness of IT solutions and investments.
Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Governance & Policy Principal will:
- Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of IT governance policies and frameworks to ensure they align with organizational objectives, compliance and industry standards
- Regularly review and update governance policies and practices to reflect changes in technology, business operations, and regulatory environments
- Lead the development and promotion of enterprise-wide IT and Security standards to enhance overall efficiency, security, and performance of the company's technologies
- Develop strategies and capabilities that facilitate the reuse of IT assets and promote efficiency across the organization
- Implement processes that ensure all IT solutions meet both functional and technical requirements, incorporating lifecycle management practices to maintain high-quality standards
- Work closely with other business units and IT leaders to ensure governance frameworks are understood and effectively implemented across the organization
- Develop a communication strategy to ensure that outcomes of the governance council decisions are communicated effectively
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in IT governance, with a leadership role in establishing and managing governance frameworks in a large organization
- Strong understanding of IT standards, policies, and regulatory compliance relevant to the industry
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Certifications related to IT governance, such as COBIT, ITIL, or CGEIT
- Experience in managing policy governance in a complex enterprise environment
- Familiarity with the latest IT technologies and trends, particularly those relevant Healthcare industry
