In our continued transformation from a real estate company to a customer experience company, we are seeking a Human Resources Director, to contribute to the achievement of the Company mission and vision by:
- Collaborating as a business partner to drive results for assigned areas of the business.
- Regularly identifying opportunities to enhance the Talent Acquisition Strategy and own talent acquisition efforts. Partnering with line managers to identify workforce needs consistent with the direction of the business and in alignment with department budgets.
- Ensuring fair, equitable, and consistent treatment of team members in the management of employee relations and minimizing legal exposure.
- Driving the activation and continued enhancement of talent management processes, tools, and programs to advance a culture of high performance. Responsible for the effective delivery of talent management policies, processes, programs, and initiatives.
- Designing, continuously shaping, and operationalizing key initiatives to advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy and efforts throughout the Company.
- Idealizing, developing, and overseeing initiatives aimed at enhancing the team member experience across all HR functions consistent with a commitment to providing an environment where everyone is welcomed, valued, recognized, developed, and able to thrive.
- Conducting needs assessments and supporting in the development of training and development programs tailored to business objectives, department needs, and the continued progression of team members within the business.
- Continuously analyzing internal and external trends and best practices to develop/enhance and deliver current/new initiatives, programs, and policies.
This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, People & Culture with flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

About You:
What skills are necessary for success?
- Business Acumen/Subject Matter Expertise:
- Demonstrated expertise in Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations required.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and compensation analysis a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise in People functions by appropriately balancing strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Broad and strong knowledge of leading practices and all pertinent HR laws, statutes, regulations, directives, and practices (FLSA, etc.).
- Ability to leverage technology in an innovative manner. Must have very strong Excel skills.
- Action Oriented:
- Demonstrate the ability to “make it happen” through an action-oriented, continuous improvement approach.
- Ability to be a self-starter and work hands-on and in collaboration with others.
- Exhibit excellent problem resolution skills. Used to preparing researched and complete recommendations and proposals for issue resolution.
- Ability to effectively work with all internal customers to provide support and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to identify and understand changing legislation and apply to current policies/processes.
Analytical:
- Ability to apply critical thinking in the development of proactive and long-term solutions.
- Ability to interpret information to identify internal people and external labor market trends and develop data-driven recommendations in accordance.
