VP, Advisory Services Sales

What you’ll do:

The VP of Advisory Services Sales is responsible for leading, coaching and continually evolving the Advisory Services team partnering with Tangoe’s New Logo, Channel, Alliances, Existing Base and EMEA sales teams. The VP of Advisory Services Sales drives go-to-market strategy and partnership opportunities to drive bookings and revenue. This VP will manage a great team already in place consisting of 7 Account Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of high performing, consulting-focused sales professionals
  • Provide Account Executives with strategy, guidance, support, and a voice as the executive level escalation point
  • Enact changes to workload or territory assignments based on business and Sales team needs
  • Act as Tangoe expert on new/enhanced product and service offerings, generating leads to sales organization
  • Ensure optimal collaboration best practices, working with Partners, Sales Operations and Solutions Architects
  • Demonstrate expertise and advise on our solutions, use cases and ROI presentations
  • Execute a disciplined sales process that delivers value to clients aligned with sales and milestone targets
  • Partner closely with senior sales and marketing leaders to ensure accurate messaging, SOW language and other key contractual language
  • Manage planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities with the Account Executives
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual opportunities


Who you are:


  • 10 years of sales experience across telecom, cloud, managed services and/or consulting
  • Consulting Background
    • Every TAS opportunity is free-flowing, and scope could be incredibly narrow (Audit) or broad in nature (M&A work).
    • Ability to quickly diagnose the broad strokes of a deal and put a commercial model(s) around a deal while being able to have a conversation that leads to scope increase.
  • Builder
    • Experience in starting or expanding a practice within a sales organization is a plus
    • Tangoe’s existing Channel Partner relationships are critical and will continue to grow and expand
    • Cloud is in its infancy at Tangoe. This will be a major contributor to our growth. There is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to place their own fingerprint on the go-to-market and support structures and build out this initiative
  • “CNBC Ticker” Factor
    • Someone that can take a 30 second hit on one of our clients on CNBC and turn it into a value-driven proposal to them leveraging publicly available information
    • Creative problem-solver
  • Forecaster
    • You understand deal flow and the requirements within the process driving to execution
    • Highly accurate in forecasting, understanding where the deal is in the process


Where you’ll work:

This position can be based remotely from home in the US. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours with flexibility for international calls outside of standard business hours.
