What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Studio Manager (FT) position at TapBlaze?

Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a Studio Manager with a proven track record for developing and launching original IP games. As the Game Studio Manager, you will manage the daily operations and the internal development of new content/features for our games.

As the Studio Manager, you will improve production and organization processes, hire and mentor key talent, and act as the point person of accountability and ownership for all project needs for the studio.

OBJECTIVES
  • Maintains the well-being, culture, and daily operations of the studio
  • Manage the entire game portfolio, both live and upcoming
  • Set clear goals for the team and hold team members accountable for deliverables; continually recognize and reward employees for strong performance
  • Work with the team to scale game revenue and daily active users
  • Optimize game delivery, manage teams, review games and deliver releases/updates on time
  • Lead, coach, and developed staff to ensure growth and expand the talent base
  • Ensure the office space is functional and comfortable

  • Entrepreneurially oriented with a strong drive and commitment toward obtaining results
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction, and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on quality, budget, and schedule
  • Prioritize work based on business objectives

  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency while remaining detail-oriented

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years of professional experience in the gaming industry
  • Has shipped a minimum of 3 titles
  • Experience shipping and maintaining titles
  • Pluses: Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, or Business

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
  • A prolonged period sitting at a desk and computer
