The Parts Advisor at Tate Branch Autoplex Carlsbad is a full-time position, with a base pay plus commission opportunity, in the auto industry. The position of Parts Advisor is a highly customer-oriented role, working closely with both customer service personnel and with vehicle repair technicians to ensure that our customers are provided with the necessary parts and supplies to meet their needs. The Parts Advisor will be based in Carlsbad, New Mexico and will interact with customers to build a trusting relationship, provide clear guidance on parts availability and costs, and will offer a personalized experience from the initial inquiry to delivery.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position is $3000 to $6000 per month, paid semimonthly. Additional benefits include health insurance, a discount on parts at Tate Branch Autoplex Carlsbad, and opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all customer inquiries are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
• Help keeping orderly shop, receiving, stocking, and cataloging of parts.
• Provide knowledgeable advice and ideas on product selection and pricing to customers.
• Process invoices, orders, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Diagnose customer needs and offer solutions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Help increase sales and customer loyalty.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide product features/benefits and applicable discounts.
• Communicate closely with sales staff and other departments to ensure customer's requests are handled promptly.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in customer service or sales (preferably in an automotive industry).
• Working knowledge of parts and supplies for US-made and imported light trucks and passenger cars.
• Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
• Good computer, phone, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
