What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Cable Technician position at Taurus Engineering?
The Cable Technician is responsible for assisting customers with the loading and unloading of equipment and materials, storage of customers' cables, and ensuring all safety processes are followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Repair customers cable’s that is received
- Assist with the shipping and receiving of customers' cables
- Conduct inspection on all incoming materials and cables
- Assembles cables
- Uses and wears safety and/or protective equipment, as appropriate
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect all employees,
equipment, materials, and facilities
- Reports all accidents and/or potential hazards to the Maintenance Personnel
immediately, or as soon as reasonably possible
- safely operate forklift when required
- To maintain all equipment in safe operational condition
- Complies with and supports Taurus policies;
Supervision Responsibilities:
None
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Receives direction from TCC Supervisor
- Interact with other team members
- Responds to requests for status updates on cable repairs

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
- Proficient reading, writing, math, and mechanical reasoning skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to excel in a self-directed work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with safety processes and regulations
- OSHA experience
- Ability to operate a forklift
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous Cable maintenance experience
- OSHA experience
- Experience with general forklift maintenance
