About the Position
TBN is looking for an OTT Platforms Manager that is a creative at heart and has experience from the digital media industry to join our growing OTT team in Fort Worth / Dallas, TX. The OTT Platforms Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of TBN’s Over the Top (OTT) platforms. TBN's current list of OTT brands include The TBN App, Yippee, and Positiv. The position’s responsibilities include media curation, platform UX, platform quality control, etc. This position will report to the Director of TBN OTT Platforms.
You will join the growing Digital Platforms team of 20 professionals spearheading all digital media projects within TBN. The team is full of multi-talented emerging leaders and producers who are focused on all things digital. Platforms under this team’s management include OTTs (AVOD and SVOD), Mobile Apps, CTV Apps, FAST Channels, YouTube Channels, Podcasts, TikTok accounts, and new media ventures that focus on online audience growth, revenue generation, and missional outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a digital-first approach to distribution of video content, is incredibly detail-oriented, and can with ease navigate CMS and MAM systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and organize videos, series, and playlist curation on TBN’s OTT platforms.
- Adopt a viewer-centric approach of the user experience by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing user needs.
- Ensure accurate and engaging platform promotions, titles, and video thumbnails.
- Maintain and develop searchable standards for video metadata.
- Develop and improve video ingest processes.
- Field and work to resolve user issues.
- Work with the Marketing team to develop and improve the OTT content communication strategy.
- Ongoing performance reports.
- Ensuring timely distribution of content that align with the ministry goals, brand voice, and creative vision of TBN.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Firm knowledge of the VOD/OTT/CTV landscape.
- Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced video production environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of asset management systems and broadcast and web video codecs.
- Experience uploading content to video platforms (e.g. Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and apply viewer engagement insights.
- Ability to write consumer-facing copy.
- Basic understanding of coding and API calls.
- Detailed working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe software.
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience working with AVOD and/or SVOD platforms.
- Technical and creative insights within the entire video production process.
- Experience working with digital media and programming for kids, youth, and young adults.
- Appreciation of, and familiarity with, TBN’s content and programming.
- Experience working in Christian media.
- Experience with HubSpot or with other marketing automation tools.
- Working knowledge of OTT/CTV Advertising technology such as SSAI, CSAI and SSPs.
- Working knowledge of YouTube Content ID, Facebook Rights, and digital rights management.
- Familiarity with best practices for SEO and content discoverability.
