Rental Shop Service Manager

*Job description* *Equipment Rental Service Manager* TC Rentals is locally owned and independently operated, we specialize in the kind of old-fashioned service that's so hard to find these days. We're looking for a strong leader that is motivated to create an efficient team environment. As Manager you would be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient management of the equipment rental operations. This will include managing employees, ensuring equipment is maintained and providing excellent customer service. *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* * Oversee the daily operations in the shop to ensure employees are utilizing their time effectively. * Make sure equipment is checked in and properly tagged * Handles customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation. * Works with office to communicate damages/complaints from customers * Manages the repair and maintenance of company owned Equipment * Organization of yard (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down) * Coordinates with Office Manager to order parts * Learn the maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment added to inventory * Promote safety awareness * Plan for upcoming seasonal equipment changes and makes sure equipment gets prepared and properly stored * Perform other duties assigned as assigned *We provide our employees with the following tools and resources to be successful: * * Health Insurance * Matching Simple IRA retirement plan (3% match) * Uniforms * Paid time off * 7 paid holidays (We close on all major holidays) * Bonuses * Training * Consistent work schedule * We are closed on Sundays and only open until noon on Saturdays. *QUALIFICATIONS* * Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance rental equipment * Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activities * Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements. * Clear perspective of maintenance and repair issues in the industry * Planning and management experience * Valid driver's license *Some of the equipment we rent: * * Hand & power tools - i.e. Hammer drills, saws, jackhammers, grinders, floor sanders * Lawn & garden equipment - i.e. tillers, thatchers, aerators, sod cutters * Bobcat skidsteers, tow behind man lifts, chippers and mini excavators

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
