Duties:
- The general nature of this position includes building a first article wire harness for customers to review and approve. While building this harness, you will be concurrently building work instructions so that our production team can replicate your assembly on a mass scale.
- Interpret customer drawings and translate them into a functional wire harness
- Review Bill of Materials (BoM) for accuracy
- Reference tooling requirements
- Work with production team and costing team on a regular basis to ensure that production will have what they need to build.
- Work with relevant stakeholders on revision changes
- Cable assembly experience, ideally at the component and technical drawing level
- Understanding of cable assembly tooling
- Knowledge of WHMA IPC 620 is a must
- Some computer knowledge is a plus as our work instructions are constructed on a cloud-based system
- Microsoft Office
- Cloud workflow platforms
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong technical mindset, ability to read technical data and translate into production requirements.
- Honesty, integrity, and personal accountability
- Ability to read drawings
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Manage multiple active projects with varying priorities
- Work in a team environment – this is not a “lone-wolf” position.
