PASTRY CHEF -must have high volume and fine dining experience for this luxury Las Vegas property with a robust pastry program
In this role, you will assist in overseeing the hotel's pastry department managing a team of and reporting directly to the Executive Pastry Chef. The ideal candidate will be a passionate culinarian and leader.
This individual must thrive in high-volume, fine dining operations and be able to pay close attention to detail. At least three (3) years of hotel pastry experience is a must and background in luxury hotels is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned: * Create / prepare / produce / bake pastries and desserts according to standard recipes for the restaurant. * Decorate pastries / cakes with creativity and skill. * Maintain adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensure the proper storage. * Prepare in accordance with quality, availability and seasonality and ensure market lists are completed on a daily and weekly basis * Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. * Assist and help coordinate all menu planning and implementation * Train, supervise, schedule and assist in evaluating staff. * Strive for perfection in the outlet, 100 % Guest satisfaction * Ensure food standards and presentation are maintained and always improved * Organize food production in a cost effective and hygienic manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
