This is a paid internship which is available immediately. This position is intended to be ongoing during school and involves work all year long, not just in the summer. Part time or full time hours are acceptable and are flexible.

Job Description
This position is for a Product Specialist Intern to assist in product pricing, product launches, promotion, and collateral development. As a Product Specialist Intern you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of our engineering and marketing professionals on exciting things such as evaluating a new market potential, analyzing pricing strategy, evaluating our competition, or developing material to support a new product introduction. This opportunity involves using technical understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering concepts and theories to: help the customer understand the features and benefits of our product line offering through marketing material and analyze our competitions product lines and marketing claims. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable professional experience within an industry leading company and will provide insight into how marketing works in a business-to-business (B2B) environment. This internship will offer many engineering heavy concepts and hands on lab experience, while also given a full scope of marketing related tasks to support creation and maintenance of products.Required Competencies

Additional Desired Competencies
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc…Experience with MS Excel including the creation of pivot tables and graphs.

Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities will be partially driven by qualifications and area of interest expressed by student, but typical tasks will include- Maintaining and creating product pricing and profitability measures with the guidance from Product Management.
- Preform competitive product testing, with the help of engineering, to help aid in developing competitive comparisons.
- Maintaining and creating new product specifications to aid new product development with customer and field input.
- Rotational schedule to get experience in Application Engineering to evaluate product applications pre and post-sale.
- Assist in Research and Development engineering support.
- Managing the product life cycle for existing product portfolio.
- Support the design and development of commercial collateral for new product launches.
- Develop marketing messaging for customer presentations, trade shows, and seminars.
- Additional Projects upon request
Basic Qualifications for Consideration
Current enrollment at an accredited college or university engineering program or Technical College (UW-Milwaukee, UW-Madison , MSOE, WCTC, MATC, or equivalent) pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering , or similar major.Prefer a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering OR in the final 2 semesters of an Associates Degree program with an interest in technical sales or marketing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
