What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dealership Finance Manager position at TD Recruiting?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Structures deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines. Presents buyers with varying levels of credit-worthy financing options, lending institutions, interest-rates, as well as insurance options. As part of the process, discloses financial information to potential buyers, sells credit insurance and service contracts.
- Performs credit interview and prepares credit application. Verifies accuracy of all material information on the credit application and submits to lender. Reviews funding packages prior to mailing. Maintains confidentiality of customer information and adheres to a standard of professional ethics. Never intentionally misrepresent a deal.
- Analyzes credit reports, able to recognize a conventional deal and turns over accordingly. Properly cost special finance deals (prepares profit sheets).
- Addresses missing stipulations communicated from lender immediately.
- Communicates all problem deals to management immediately.
- Knows and implements dealership policies and procedures.
- Maintains a call-in log and contracts in transit log (funding package).
- Train and supervises sales staff of any changes in regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Trains administrative personnel on assembling funding packages.
- Maintains a lender guide of programs currently used and obtains a working knowledge of them. Evaluates new lender programs. Maintains good lender relations.
- Designs and places advertising for special finance.
- Maintains current inventory log and makes recommendations to management.
- Shows and demonstrates vehicles when necessary.
- Process receipts and deposits timely.
- Prepares and disseminates scheduled reporting
- Other tasks as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong business maturity, professionalism, interpersonal, management leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills.
- Strong demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to understand profit and loss statements
- Excellent math and computer acumen
- Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Interacts with appropriate departments.
- Skilled and experienced in communications processes and tools. Articulate, with strong skills in written and oral communication.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or the equivalent is required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as DF Manager within a dealership environment
- Association Finance and Insurance Professional (AFIP) certification preferred
- State-specific Motor Vehicle Salesperson License
- Experience in other dealership departments is a plus.
- Preferred: multilingual language skills
- Valid Driver’s License
