What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT OPERATIONS ANALYST I position at TE Connectivity?
We are seeking an IT Operations Analyst I to join our TEIS Organization located in Jonestown, PA, USA. This position's primary responsibility is for Customer Service through supporting users' PCs and other devices. Other responsibilities include device configuration, troubleshooting problems according to TEIS policies, processes, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support responding promptly to service issues and requests.
- Responsible for supporting a manufacturing site users face-to-face or remotely with computer technical problems, information technology issues, and related systems
- Install, configure, update, upgrade, deploy, and support computers, software, hardware, printers, and phones.
- Daily monitoring of IT supports ticketing system ServiceNow.
- Escalate technical issues and requests on behalf of the customer to the appropriate technical resources when needed.
- Support IT infrastructure, Hardware installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities may also include cabling, racking, and hardware installations.
- Monitor backup and manage physical tape handling.
- Responsible for IT asset management and maintaining updated inventory of assigned sites.
- Comply with TEIS and Business policies, procedures, and service guidelines.
- Train users on TEIS tools and services.
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers, peers, and partners.
What your background should look like:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with general supervision.
- Works in a team environment, shares knowledge, contributes to processes.
- Ability to maintain favorable customer relations can deal comfortably with senior managers.
- Frequently interacts with peers, customers and typically requires the ability to gain cooperation.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing site is desirable.
Educational Required/Desired:
- A degree in Computer Technology or 1-2 years of work experience
