Solderer/Assembler

Position: Production Operator III / Location: Fairview, 28730 / Pay: $17 - $21 / Shift: 1st

ROLE STATEMENT: TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedules, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Terminating, polish and testing fiber optic cables.

· Assembling and packaging fiber optic connector components

KEy SKILLS:

· Candidate should demonstrate proficiency terminating single and multi-fiber cables.

· Ability to recognize common fiber connectors.

· Working knowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly

Experience/Education:

· High School Diploma or GED.

· 3 years’manufacturing experience required!

· 3 years’ experience with Manufacturing fiber cables.

· Fiber Optics work experience is required.

· S A P Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred but not required.

· Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading.

· Will work overtime to support production goals as needed.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
