Position Purpose
This role contributes to the company’s success by providing various financial analyses to the Accounting team, processing accounting records, contributing to the accurate and timely closing of the company’s books, and serving as a backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions when needed.
Essential Functions
- Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and related documentation.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Prepare journal entries for month-end closing.
- Generate monthly financial reports.
- Manage the filing and payment of taxes and other financial obligations.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide assistance to accounting team personnel as directed by management.
- Serve as a back-up for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks when needed, ensuring continuity of operations and timely processing of transactions.
- Work with Company Leadership on various projects and initiatives.
- Any additional task assigned by manager; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Required Experience / Skills
- BS degree in Accounting or related discipline; extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- Work independently to meet deadlines and reporting goals.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accomplish tasks by due dates.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday – Friday; Typically 8am-4:30pm.
Physical Demands :The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Working Conditions : Work takes place in a well-lit, comfortable office space with light foot traffic.
