Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled On-Call On-Site Computer Repair Technician to join our team. As a technician, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective on-site technical support to our clients. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, install and configure computer systems and networks, and provide expert guidance to clients on optimizing their technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to client service requests and travel to client locations as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
- Set up and maintain computer networks, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Perform data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard clients' critical information.
- Provide technical guidance and training to clients on using their computer systems effectively.
- Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and client communication, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a computer repair technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
