Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Mainframe)
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication on project goals and deadlines.
Track project progress, proactively identifying potential issues and addressing them to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, offering guidance and motivating team members to achieve project milestones.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Apply project management best practices, continuously refining processes and methodologies for improved efficiency.
Conduct post-project evaluations to assess results, capture lessons learned, and propose improvements for future initiatives.
Requirements:
- Seven total years of professional experience managing IT/Systems implementation and upgrade projects at-scale.
- A minimum five years of experience leading IBM mainframe projects from start to finish.
- Prior experience managing implementation, integration, and/or upgrade projects involving mainframe technologies (z/OS, DB2, CICS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Preferences:
Project Management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Certified Project Manager, etc.
