We are seeking a skilled and motivated Help Desk Technician with expertise in Windows domain environments and Microsoft Entra/Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our users. Key Responsibilities:
- Travel: be able to travel occasionally to client locations in the greater Milwaukee area
- Technical Support: Provide support for Windows domain environments, including user account management, permissions, and group policies.
- Microsoft Entra/Azure: Manage and support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and related services, ensuring secure and efficient access control.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, application errors, and system performance problems.
- User Assistance: Assist users with technical issues via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patch management, and system backups.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes using the company's ticketing system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues, and participate in IT projects as needed.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and new technologies.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Windows domain environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and related services.
- Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and directory admin roles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra service descriptions and permissions.
- Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are preferred.
