The project
TECKpert seeks to hire a Business Analyst to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL.
Job duties include but are not limited to--
Utilize oral and written communication to interact with subject matter experts (SMEs) daily to
establish proficiency in the business processes as directed by the Department.
6.1.2. Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions with SMEs as assigned by the Department.
SMEs may be end‐users, IT technical staff, HMS practice management team members and HMS clinical team members. Ensure a defined agenda is communicated to participants, ensure a
common understanding of terms and definitions,synthesize ideas, track discussions, and provide
clear summaries of the discussion and decisions in oral and written form using Microsoft Office
tools.
6.1.3. Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with development teams to represent the interests
of business stakeholders as assigned by the Department. Participation includes providing
accurate answers to questions regarding intended software functionality.
6.1.4. Perform validation of documented business requirements against business processes as assigned
by the Department to ensure that business requirements accurately represent the needs of
business stakeholders. Business stakeholders include but not limited to, end‐users of the Health
Management System, Department staff involved in the processes automated by the software,
Department staff who are consumers of the data collected within the software, and any external
partners exchanging Health Management System related data with the Department.
6.1.5. Perform verification of developed software against business requirements and technical
specifications as assigned by the Department.
6.1.6. Prepare documentation of application change requests utilizing Microsoft Office tools and the
Department’s change and configuration management system as assigned by the Department.
6.1.7. Define and document functional specifications and software test plans as assigned by the
Department. Specifications and test plans should be documented utilizing Microsoft Office tools
and the Department’s change and configuration management system and templates provided.
6.1.8. Identify and document opportunities for improving the efficiency of workflows represented
within the software as assigned by the Department. Identification is a result of evaluating current
system design through testing and end user feedback. Identified opportunities must be
documented using Microsoft Office and the Department’s change and configuration
management system.
6.1.9. Provide subject matter expertise to Business Analysts and development team as directed by the
Department. Performing in the role of SME includes providing accurate answers to questions
regarding intended software functionality. These answers are based on specific knowledge within
a functional area or gathered through written and oral consultation with additional SMEs. SMEs
may be end‐users of the Health Management System, Departmentstaff involved in the processes
automated by the software or other Department staff who are consumers of the data collected
within the software.
6.1.10. Complete job required training as assigned by the Department. Completion verification may
include certificates, sign‐in sheets and verification via the Department’s Learning Management
System.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, 1 year contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $55/hour or $114,400per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:
5.1. Eight years of documented experience as a business analyst on software development projects.
5.2. Four years documented experience serving in a senior business analyst capacity directing the efforts of
other business analysts.
5.3. Four years documented experience implementing messaging according to HL7 standards including ADT
and C‐CDA.
5.4. Two years documented experience implementing messaging according to EDI standards.
