Roofing Laborers/Helpers Commercial Roofing
We are currently hiring Commercial Laborers for low slope commercial roofing. Previous roofing experience a plus and valid driver’s license required.
- Little to no roofing experience
- Must use all required PPE (100% of the time)
- First steps in learning roofing materials and how the foreman runs the crew on day to day operations
- Assisting other roofers
- Duties include tear offs, cleaning up roof area, carrying heavy materials, help tying down and organizing materials, dumpster and ground clean-up
- Understand the Basics of safety and implementing safe practices daily
- Use and own of basic hand tools
- Training:
- Orientation
- Fall Protection/Harness
- Properly use basic power tools (screw gun, saws, drills, etc…)
- Able to identify different roofing materials and systems
- Begin learning basic roofing layouts (rolls, insulation, fastening patterns, ribbon spacing etc…)
- Ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
- Begin hand welding, torching, or other detail work depending on job and material type.
- Must have tools
- Trained/certified:
- OSHA 10
- Forklift
- Rigger/signaler
- First aid/CPR
- DOT Physical
- Defensive Driving
• Repair and maintenance on all roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles). Knowledge of these systems is helpful but not required, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
• Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with a strong attention to detail.
• Clean motor vehicle record, and background check.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, kneeling
• Ability to work with others.
• Perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines. Maintain professional interaction with all customers.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
