Summary
Teel Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to be responsible for the operational aspect of Employee Relations, Communications, Policy Administration and Reporting under the leadership of the HR Manager. This is the go-to person for employees for benefits, performance management, pay inquiries and general HR questions.
Position Responsibilities
Establish a reputation as a trusted advisor through positive and productive interaction with employees
Provides day to day support for employees regarding employee relations issues, employee communications, process and policy. Mediate and resolve any employee relation issues
Coordinate benefit enrollment and support employees understanding of benefit offerings
Administer all aspects of Leave of Absence including FMLA. When appropriate, coordinate leave with other leave-related benefits and programs such as short-term disability, long term disability
Establish and preserve a consultative relationship with supervisors and managers regarding employee discipline, company policies, procedures, and practices
Drive, promote, and support all employee recognition and appreciation programs and activities
Assists in professional recruiting recruitment needs including sourcing, screening, scheduling and interviewing
Conducts onboarding and off boarding processes
Maintains compliance with regulations concerning employment including EEO reporting, unemployment, and other agency requirements.
Plans and coordinates employee meetings and events
Other HR duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements
Effective working knowledge of Employment law, Employee Leave of Absences and HRIS (DayForce preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational and follow-through skills
Must be well organized and possess the ability to multitask
Demonstrated project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines
The ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment; handle a multitude of tasks; and adapt to change
Discretion around sensitive company and employee information
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
The following are minimum requirements related to the Human Resources Generalist position:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resourcesMinimum 5-year’s related experience; Experience in manufacturing environment as HR professional necessary
