Our Teijin Kasei Americas Business Unit is looking for an account manager to grow our products in the specialty resin market through the development and achievement of sales objectives. This position will report directly to the Americas business unit president.
- Develop and execute customer strategies to meet/exceed sales targets for both current and emerging products related to the specialty resin markets.
- Prepare supporting action plans and monthly status reports required to ensure sales strategies and goals are on track and achievable.
- Assist in maintaining expert market knowledge of the specialty market and associated value chains.
- Market research and project development, concentrating in highly value-added applications such as ophthalmic lens, automotive and lighting components.
- Identify new business opportunities that initiate and/or support new product development activities.
- Maximize profitability by understanding market conditions and leveraging value where appropriate.
- Maintain and enhance established key customer relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Obtains the forecast from customers and sends the products order to production schedule team in Japan and China. In addition, the product’s inventory control in North America.
- Manages customer’s credit.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Continuously improve functional effectiveness by participating in appropriate continuing education classes, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the President
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical field from accredited university. MBA a plus.
- Possess expert knowledge of the specialty automotive markets.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales to end use customers or selling materials into the market.
- Ability to identify market trends and requirements to support new product
- strategies/developments.
- Ability to develop strong customer relationships and establish contacts at all levels of a customer organization.
- Solid track record of developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills to effectively interface with external and internal customers. Ability to influence and ultimately lead an internal market specific global cross functional team.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be a U. S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Requirements:
- Japanese Language skills.
