Description:
Seeking a Network/Desktop Support Technician to work onsite supporting their Conover facility. Candidate will work onsite supporting the infrastructure which will include building machines (Lenovo PCs/Desktops/Notebooks running on Windows 10 and 11), fixing wireless access points (Aruba & Cisco) in the plant, performing customer service in person or remote troubleshooting, moving office equipment, doing some router and switch support (NetGear equipment), patching, doing upgrades, and occasionally pulling cables. Candidate does not have to program firewalls but should understand servers because that will allow them to build and connect machines to the network.
Specific Technician Responsibilities:
• Setting up and repairing computer hardware and other associated devices such as printers and scanners
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer and network issues.
• Upgrading network infrastructure, firmware and software.
• Providing technical support to users and resolving technical errors.
Technician Requirements:
• Associates degree or better in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• CompTIA A accreditation is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
