Chemical Logistics Associate

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Take weekly inventory of warehouse materials.
• Loading and unloading of non-bulk materials: drums, totes, skids, super sacks, etc.
• Assist Plant Manager during inventory and cycle counts.
• Keep warehouse organized to maximize use of space and accessibility of materials.
• Responsible for housekeeping of all areas within the chemicals warehouse and dock except for production and maintenance areas.
• Inventory and upkeep of storage totes.
• Clean and inspect fork trucks daily.
• Rotate warehouse material for first in, first out.
• Responsible for safe performance of duties, as well as following plant and material safety procedures.
• Other duties as requested by Chemicals Manager.
• Fill, label, and handle drums and other containers as required..
• Operate and maintain sand mill(s) and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot and solve problems with sand mill(s) and auxiliary equipment, all with assistance from production, maintenance, and engineering.
•  Regularly report production status and problems to Scheduler.
• Keep a daily logbook of all activities.

• Work with the laboratories to maintain specification grade products, both ground press cake and finished compounds.
• Work with production departments to ensure that their requirements are met for both production and quality.
• Work with Engineering to develop and refine the press cake grinding process, both with preliminary developmental processes and in the final production unit.
• Receive raw materials in Comflow and ships finished goods in M-3 CLOUD.
• Ability to generate all shipping documents in M-3; BOL, COA, and Packing List.

Skill/Education Requirements:

• Comprehend written procedures and instructions.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide as required to perform job.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Work and communicate well with others.
• Must be able to operate forklift.
•  Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical skills – to perform maintenance on sand mill(s) and associated equipment.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Able to climb ladders and stair to reach tops of tanks, trucks, and rail cars.
• Able to handle 55-gallon drums (550 lbs.) with hand drum moving equipment.
•  Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Handle 50 lb. bags of material.
• Able to wear required safety equipment.
• Able to move 2000 lb. “Super Sacks” by rolling on overhead hoist or with pallet jack.

Salary : $28,500 - $36,000
