TekPro is a direct-hire recruiting agency focused on the Manufacturing industry. Currently, our client is seeking a 1st or 2nd shift maintenance mechanic to join their team. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the fastener industry offering strong benefits, competitive pay, and a great working environment.
Objective: Make and repair tooling to support manufacturing in accordance with company standards.
Duties:
1. Make, repair, rework, and recycle tooling as required to prints, written instructions and verbal direction.
2. Build assemblies, kits, gages, jigs, etc. to support manufacturing and all areas of Semblex.
3. Understand, operate, and maintain all tool room equipment for proper operation.
4. Understand and utilize inventory controls for tool inventory accuracy.
5. Understands 5S and Kaizen.
6. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: H.S. Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 years minimum experience with tool service for cold-heading machines, or successful completion of an apprenticeship program.
Skills: Must be able to operate all tool service equipment. Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to use and understand gages for tool making.
