The Operations Center Engineer is responsible for playing a part the client's platform support. This individual will work to monitor system health, investigate and troubleshoot delivery failures and/or related production issues, escalate issues as needed. The main focus of this role will be to monitor batch and real-time processing and support overall production support activity as well as aid in the automation of manual tasks.
Top Skills' Details1. Experience reading and executing Unix Shell Scripting. Will not have to write from scratch but able to execute scripts
2. SQL experience - reading and understanding Oracle SQL scripts
3. Detail oriented is key - this person will be working within production environment and cannot afford mess ups
4. A baseline understanding of what ANSI X12 files are (this is a very nice to have) would greatly improve their ramp up time but can learn
What you will be doing:
Managing FTP PW changes
Investigating and reprocessing file delivery failures
Monitoring system health and performance and responding to urgent alerts and exceptions
Creative problem solving; investigating the root cause of technical anomalies and creating innovative solutions
Batch and real-time processing verification
Production incident management and escalations
Expect the unexpected, be prepared to multi-task to stay in front of the workflow!
