Looking for an awesome QA Lead local to the Birmingham, Al area.
Description:
Day In The Life of the Test Lead
• Proactively review all workstream testing states for SIT and UAT, all via the lens of business end users as well as the IT view.
• Stay on top of defects/blockers and make sure the Jira tickets are actively being worked by the right people.
• Maintain dashboard metrics for SIT and UAT in Jira and provide reporting
• Facilitate and schedule the necessary meetings to resolve issues as well as solutioning via war room
• May assist with testing from time to time as needed
Responsibilities include:
• Work closely and collaboratively with business partners, Project Management and Vendor technical delivery teams to understand business requirements
• Report and track defects, issues, and risks related to enterprise applications.
• Help to evaluating and improving the test processes and methodologies for enterprise applications
• Experience in testing ERP applications which includes integrations, data migrations, applications.
• Create and document test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and report problems and anomalies
• Operate in Agile or Waterfall approach to support testing needs
• Ensure software testing is done on-time and as planned and notify management about bottlenecks and other issues and risks
• Assist Business subject matter experts and business analysts in the development of UAT test scenarios leveraging SIT test cases
• Participate in defect triage meetings and demos
• Report weekly status to Quality Assurance Manager
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Knowledge of quality assurance concepts and best practices
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organization skills
• Jira knowledge (creating test plans, test cases, defects, dashboards)
• Experience with SDLC, Waterfall and agile methodologies
