Description:
The FAST IT System Analyst position has the responsibility and oversight for all aspects of FAST Distribution Management implementation within American Equity and the integrations between FAST DM and other systems such as Agency Portal, ODS, and Reporting. This role is a key member of the technology team that enables FAST DM to maximize individual, team, and organizational productivity by addressing business requirements and providing direction and advice on how to further utilize its capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports implementation and configuration of FAST Distribution Management in American Equity, in conjunction with FAST Professional Services. Through education and shadowing, become an SME on configuration of American Equity’s requirements in the FAST DM platform.
- Coordinates with other teams and supervises implementation of other technical deliverables required for full-fledged FAST DM deployment, including data integrations with both external vendors and internal systems, single sign-on, and API and event queue integrations.
- Analyzes business requirements, provides time estimates, documents design, performs system configuration and/or development, and support production deployment.
- Collaborates with the API and Data Engineering teams to ensure rich data integration functionality, both inbound and outbound from the FAST DM platform.
- Maintains and enhances FAST DM on a continuous basis after the initial deployment, including the FAST DM platform itself and related integrations. Troubleshoots, maintains, upgrades, and identifies problem areas and solve issues in a proactive manner.
- Coordinates with FAST, internal technical teams, and other staff as necessary to resolve project issues or production incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (in CS, MIS, information technology, or related field of study; plus five (5) years of progressively responsible related technical experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience in prior implementations of Insurance Agency / Agency management systems, Licensing and Appointment systems, and/or insurance commission systems.
- Experience with data integrations, especially with external vendors such as DTCC, LIMRA, and others agent and licensing data providers.
- Experience with FAST Distribution Management is preferred.
- Prior experience in an Agile environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Broad knowledge of information technology functions and disciplines, including but not limited to, architecture, data management, operations, security and business analysis.
- Familiarity with SDLC and systems development and deployment processes.
- Strong command of Excel, including ability to setup and support complicated multi-step formulas.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties.
