Client is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist that includes network troubleshooting, Active Directory, and imaging laptops etc.
Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Specialist provides technical assistance to users regarding various hardware and software applications. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, maintaining user accounts, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless networks.
Configure and manage environments to deploy operating systems and software to multiple machines.
Active Directory Management: Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory.
Imaging Laptops: Create and deploy system images for laptops and desktops to ensure consistent and efficient setup of new and existing devices.
Hardware and Software Support: Install, upgrade, and repair computer hardware and software. Provide support for peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
User Support: Assist users with technical issues via phone, email, or in-person. Provide training and guidance on software and hardware usage.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations. Create and update technical documentation and user guides.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular system checks and maintenance to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in network troubleshooting and configuration.
Experience with imaging tools.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
