What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Analyst position at TEKsystems?
Description:
One of TEKsystems' clients is looking to bring on an onsite support person for their SC upstate location. This would be a 6-12 month extendable contract with potential to go perm. They will be the SOLE support for IT needs. They are eventually looking for this person to take on programming duties within the company, so SQL experience is needed.
Day to day until they get into programming duties:
-take in tickets from users
-password resets
-printer issues
-connectivity issues, someone unplugs something and then other things don't work
-pointing people in the right direction - a ticket can come in and they need to be pointed to the right team to fix it like the SAP team or corporate network
- when they are not working on tickets, they have the opportunity to work on their SQL skills
Top Skills' Details
1. Experience with hardware support- can be flexible if they have have strong programming knowledge
2. Needs someone who has SQL knowledge/ experience (writing queries or working in a database) (can be C# or C or PowerShell if no SQL)
3. Computer Science Degree or Coding Bootcamp Strongly preferred!

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- SQL knowledge/ experience needed. They really need a passion to get into programming.
• Installation, configuration, testing, repair and deployment of desktops, laptops, and printers and any associated software and peripherals
• Accurate recording of all support requests, incidents, systems documentation and procedures within IT Support and Collaboration Applications
• Maintain accurate inventory of all IT related assets including software licenses, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network infrastructure
• Answer calls from associates needing assistance
• Perform in person or remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions to determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided
• Work with Site IT associates to ensure appropriate services are provided to all site employees and issues are routed through proper help chain (See Below)
• Perform administrative support tasks
• Acquire and deliver supplies to shop floor as needed and approved
• Administration of employee Active Directory accounts, permissions, group memberships, and credentials
• Maintain current software versions and patching levels of all applications, servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
• Perform network administrative tasks including but not limited to connectivity troubleshooting, port configuration, performance enhancements and wireless services
Environment:
100% On-site
M-F, 8am-5pm
Manufacturing environment- protective equipment necessary
