Mortgage Loan Closer
Job Description :
- Close first mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal / state laws as well as company policies & procedures
- Research, analyze, and problem solve system issues
- Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to Settlement companies
- Coordinate the closing & funding of assigned loan packages
- Monitor mortgage loan process & ensure compliance with laws, practices, guidelines & regulations
- Verify completeness and accuracy of approved credit packages
- Determine amount to be withheld from loan proceeds, request and process internal payoffs and prepare request for loan disbursement
- Ensure credit, underwriting and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing
- Maintain contact with lawyers, settlement agents and real estate brokers regarding the status of closing package
- Prepare fully executed mortgage file for post-closing
Qualifications
- No prior mortgage or financial services experience is required Full paid training is provided
- High school diploma or equivalent is needed.
- Must be proficient with basic office software.
- Strong organizational skills, have excellent multitasking abilities, and heave the ability to work well in a team environment with other officers to share important loan application data.
- Must also be able to work effectively on their own with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of the loan application and approval process, as well as possess strong interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
- Hybrid Schedule Onsite 2x per week / 8x per month
- High Speed Internet required
Training Hours -
9am-530pm EST
1st Training :
3 Fixed Days per week onsite which will be assigned to them (Typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Bridge Training : 4 weeks of Bridge training
- Starts the day after they graduate from the 1st training class.
- 3 Fixed Days per week onsite which will be assigned to them (Typically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
Working Hours (Must be open to all) - Shifts will not be given until they assign supervisors prior to training ending, they are subject to change at any time.
New hires will most likely be assigned the 11 : 30-8 : 00pm shift to start
- 930EST to 6 : 00pm EST OR 11 : 30amEST to 8 : 00PM EST
- Candidates will be assigned a shift schedule closer to the end of Bridge training . They must be open to all shift times.
- 2 days per week onsite which they can choose / discuss with their supervisor.
