Operations Associate

Description:

The Operations Associate is an entry level role. It allows our employee to learn the business from the ground up and to play a significant role in helping the organization succeed. This role will focus on development of a range of skills including driver operations, planning operations, customer service, safety & compliance, management, driver retention and trouble-shooting. As employees progress they are empowered to function in the Driver Manager, Planner, Customer Service and Compliance Coordinator roles with minimal guidance. Specific daily responsibilities will vary depending on development level and operational needs. • Learns all aspects of Driver Manager, Planner, Customer Support Specialist and Compliance Coordinator job duties and responsibilities. • Covers Driver Manager’s, Planner’s, Customer Support Specialist’s, and Compliance Coordinator’s desk as assigned and performs all aspects of the job in their absence. • Covers Driver Manager’s, Planner’s, Customer Support Specialist’s, and Compliance Coordinator’s desks on a floating basis throughout the day, when not assigned to a specific fleet. • Understands and enforces the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) hours of service requirements. • Understands the functionality of the mobile communications system. • Educates and trains drivers on FMCSA hours of service and logging requirements. • Integrates the company’s noble purpose and core values into every aspect of the position and communicates with team on a regular basis on the company’s core values, mission, vision and noble purpose.
