What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Analyst position at TEKsystems?
Our customer is looking to bring on 2 Support Analysts to assist with a large VoIP deployment. These will be 6 month contracts in Dallas, TX.
The expectation is to be on-site 5 days a week; there may be off - hours support required during the initial deployment (after 5pm CST one day a week for a few quick hours)
Top Skills Required:
1. IT experience- working as a helpdesk, desktop, support tech, service desk, project coordination or entry level IT role working around Infrastructure/Network support related work - 2 years
2. Customer Support role- working with end customers to troubleshoot issues- 2 years
3. Documentation - for tracking and confirming devices being shipped and received - 2 years
4. Asset Management experience- 1 years
Nice to have (NOT REQUIRED):
- Understanding of Cisco Voice Telephones
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, Cisco routing/switching/troubleshooting (LAN/WAN)- basic understanding and exposure
Description:
Our customer is deploying new Cisco VoIP phones to their Dallas HQ and their sales showrooms across the country. There is a total of 4,000 phones that need to be deployed. The work that will be done at HQ in Dallas will be ensuring each new phone system is configured correctly, going desk to desk to de-install current phones, install new cisco voice phones, install new headsets and make sure the phone is all set for the end user to use. They are also there to handle any questions, requests or issues that come up from the end user base in the Dallas HQ.
Once the Dallas HQ deployment is completed they will be working configuring the Cisco phones in the data center, shipping them to the showroom sites, call/walk through the installation with the showroom contact and be able to assist with any required troubleshooting.
The majority of the role will be focused on helping 2 current full time Voice Engineers in initial deployment/install of the new phone systems (4,000) as well as helping end users get their phone set up and then documented for the company.
Day to Day Responsibilities for both openings:
1. Assisting with Shipping Equipment to end user (UPS Access)
2. Site survey (calling customer to ensure received device)
3. Testing in LAB phone
4. Update spreadsheet
5. Scan Mac address into Cisco system
6. Sending a Training Video on how to install phones
7. Provide a Smart sheet follow up calls to SSC (Sales Service Centers)
