Description:
A healthcare client of ours is looking for a UC/ VOIP Engineer tech to join their Unified Communications group. Will be located on Coney Island in a healtcare setting. This group is a Large team and they will be hired on to help support the build out of their cisco VOIP systems across the hospital system as well as support in UC and telecom concerns, this can include but not limited to mobile device set up, network trouble shooting (cisco switches, cabling, rightfax, av, desktop, etc.) as well as other locations.
These people will support all UC service requests and help with many different UC and network projects across the hospital system. These people will overall support to manage all telecommunication needs and troubles for this hospital. Responsible for the supervision, planning and delivery of system support services, including troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements. They will oversee the day to day operation for the Cisco VOIP phone support vendor, managers, and technicians. Ensure Telecommunications Cisco vendor remedy tickets (for day-to-day break fix) meet SLA requirement; are maintained properly. As well as maintain data and configuration information with Verizon Customer Redirect Service for BCP purposes. Will also perform a variety of special assignments, generally in long-range planning, evaluation, testing, and remediation. These person responds to Voice related calls, which range in scope from local facility to agency wide. They will independently plans and carry out projects; analyses of requirements; integrating and coordinating vendor management. These people serves as a technical subject matter expert in the areas of PBX and UC engineering, IT systems, information management and policy planning. Prepares EITS weekly summary reports, staff assignment updates and staff reviews. They are responsible for emergency phones and business continuity re-direct services both landline and wireless. Request for Statement of Work, reviews existing voice and data configurations within elements of the hospital facilities and makes recommendations and/or changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the system's service. Responsible for the day to day support for VOIP infrastructure systems/equipment. Responsible for the support for all Telecommunications Infrastructure systems/components to include continuous monitoring and analysis of the telecommunications Infrastructure to ensure a maximum performance and availability. Also will be responsible for procurement, configuration, and deployment of Mobile telecom devices to include item, such as Apple iPhones, Galaxy Smartphones, Mifi’s Pagers and Air Cards. To verify and ensure all Hospital telephone equipment location records, extension assignments, type of instruments, class of service, repair records, system data servers, and the telecommunications database are maintained correctly and accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Should have at least an associates degree.
- Hands on experience in implementation & administration of Unified Communications systems.
- Mobile device procurement iPhone, iPad and Samsung devices and pbx work
- Working with Telecom carriers during implementations and outages
- Perform monthly invoice analysis, validation, and payment approval on all land, long distance, data, and wireless invoices to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
- Perform bimonthly mobile device audits to determine if we should select a more cost-effective plan, or need to update our mobile catalog, and communicate concerns to managers.
- Track and resolve billing disputes/discrepancies with various carriers, present escalation issues, status reports and findings to Director.
- Manage mobile phone recycle and inventory program.
- Manage paging systems and equipment (Beepers)
- Assist in facility’s Send Word Now notifications and systems update.
- Research past due balances to ensure they are cleared in a timely manner, and ensure credits are received and applied.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all telecom circuits, numbers, and equipment.
- Work directly with vendor to resolve claims in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in configuring and installing various CISCO IP Phone models on CUCM various versions.
