Tellepsen Industrial is looking for a Estimator for their Industrial Construction Division in Pasadena, TX.
Description
The primary responsibility of an Estimator is to assist with estimating projects of medium size and complexity. Projects will require estimating civil concrete, structural steel, process equipment installation and process piping work.
Responsibilities
- Generates quantity estimates for incorporation into cost estimates and/ or project budgets
- Assists in developing project cost estimates, and revisions to reflect contract scope changes and extra work orders
- Maintains files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures
- Assists in the preparation of scope documents, specifications, drawings and contract documents for trade invitations
- Adapts to new technologies
- Balances team and individual responsibilities
Other Requirements:
- 0-2 years related experience as a Project Administrator or Coordinator in large industrial construction
- Must have experience working in construction with piping work highly preferred
- Industrial and/or Petrochemical sector experience preferred
- Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Exceptional time management skills
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- A Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or Business is preferred.
- Work related experience equal to that of a bachelor s degree may substitute for education
