Purpose
Provide consulting services, expertise, training and troubleshooting for the sale and support of solutions enabled by the John Deere Precision Ag. Strategy and other aligned technology and applications. Serves as the primary point of contact for both customers and dealer staff as it relates to technology sales and troubleshooting information.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the execution of the dealership’s John Deere Precision Ag strategy.
- The primary area of responsibility will be the Taft, Alice and Beeville locations, but will assist in other areas as needed.
- Maintain the Tellus RTK tower network.
- Assists in leading Tellus locations around John Deere farming products, ensuring that parts, sales, and service have a good working understanding.
- Serves as the internal and external technical specialist for new precision farming products.
- Delivers employee and customer training for John Deere Precision Ag solutions and precision farming products.
- Provides solutions-based business consulting services to customers (i.e. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing cost, operational efficiencies, ect.)
- Provide direct support to customers quickly and accurately to resolve common data, digital and embedded solution questions and errors.
- Perform remote diagnostics using Remote Display Access (RDA)
- Abide by company data privacy policies.
- Requires work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekends. Calls on weekends occur throughout the growing season.
Bonus potentially tied to the PAES (Precision Ag. Engagement Score) and other metrics.
Commission: percentage on AMS products sold by the Specialist.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- 2 years in an agriculture related role
- Dealership Parts, Service or IS work related experience preferred.
- Experience meeting or exceeding customer service expectations
- Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data and reports.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred
