Job Description:
Mission:
- Client is focused on overcoming physiological barriers to target engagement in solid tumors. These barriers range from the Blood Brain Barrier (CNS tumors) to microenvironment remodeling created by the extracellular matrix in highly fibrotic tumor tissues.
- Client believes the field of research is on the cusp of significant breakthroughs. We need a talented scientist sharing our passion and resolve to solve unmet patient needs.
Responsibilities:
- To design, execute and analyze preclinical studies in oncology that integrate disease models, drug biodistribution and efficacy/toxicology endpoints
- To establish preclinical rodent models required to support translational development
- To communicate /collaborate with colleagues from multiple disciplines
- To maintain notebooks and electronic files associated with each experiment
- To contribute to the preparation of IACUC protocols and study protocols
- To author /coauthor scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication
Qualifications:
- PhD in life sciences with strong fundamentals in cellular and molecular biology
- Well versed in surgical procedures with "in vivo” models
- Well versed in tissue harvest and slicing for subsequent ex vivo analysis
- "Hands on” experience in histology and imaging preferred
- Demonstrated research productivity as evidenced by publication record and referrals from subject matter experts
- Excellent communication skills, highly collaborative behavior and open to being mentored by others
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $58.75 per hour
