Tellworks Logistics is a rapidly growing logistics company known for its entrepreneurial spirit and agility. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Admin / Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity for the right candidate to wield substantial influence in the success and growth of our organization.
Duties include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Responsibilities include preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.
Accounting responsibilities include accounting for the management and reporting of financial data of the local organization. Bookkeeping of consumables in accounting program (QuickBooks).
Primary Job Responsibilities
Organize and schedule appointments
Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Develop and maintain a filing system
Update and maintain office policies and procedures
Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers.
Order and process PO’s for Operational consumables.
Maintain contact lists
Provide general support to visitors
Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
Completing analysis of the operational expenditures
Managing expenditure accounts
Generating the reports using income and expenditure data
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
Expectations
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in accounting, Certified Public Accounting, Management, or Analyst (CPA, CMA, CFA) or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
At least four years total of accounting and administrative resource experience.
Fluency in a language other than English preferred.
AS or BA in a related advanced degree preferred.
