Tellworks, a growing 3PL provider, is currently seeking an HR Generalist in our Sparks, NV Fulfillment Center.
The continued growth of Tellworks has created the need for a seasoned HR Generalist ready to hit the ground running. This position helps manage and execute initiatives within the various employee functions that support our staff and managers. Including recruiting, benefits, employee recognition and relations, new hire onboarding, policies, procedures, compliance management, and training, with specific areas of focus as assigned. This role also provides on-going and hands-on guidance to leaders on developing and engaging their teams.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for executing assigned human resources functions, which may include, but is not limited to recruiting, benefits, training, performance management, compensation, job descriptions, employee relations issues, policies and procedures, health and safety, and off-boarding.
- Participates in employee onboarding process, coordinating with managers and other required departments to ensure all steps in the process function smoothly for all involved.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Act as a Payroll back-up to Accounting as needed; processing and reconciling if needed.
- Answer general inquiries and specific questions regarding performance management, eligibility, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and other pertinent information.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, such as demographic information, benefits, and compensation, leave of absence, and performance records. Coordinate with other Tellworks departments as needed.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
- Participates in employee recognition efforts and ensures managers can utilize recognition tools easily and frequently.
- As needed, develop and deliver employee, manager, and company-focused curriculum and training programs, with assistance from managers or other subject matter experts. Modify training as needed, based on feedback or changing needs.
- Maintain training records for employees.
- Interact and partner with other internal company HR resources
Expectations

- BS/BA in human resources, international relations or other business-related field or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
- 5 years of human resource experience.
- Fluency in a language other than English preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
