What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesforce Platform Manager (Remote US) position at Telnyx?
The Role
Telnyx is looking for a Salesforce Platform Manager to help build the infrastructure behind our growing sales engine. The successful candidate will have a record of successfully aligning Salesforce and other GTM tooling with internal sales processes. The candidate will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop and deploy new business processes and will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, adoption and improvement of our CRM platform to enable best-in-class reporting. Your mission is to help define and improve sales processes, analyze and share insights on key revenue and sales trends, design and measure metrics to enhance overall productivity, and ultimately help scale our business in an effective way.
In this role, you will
- Use your technical knowledge to help a fast-growing company “get the most” out of the tools in our stack working cross-departmentally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance to improve workflows and optimize efficiency
- Enable our department leaders and sales team to achieve all of their desired improvements within Salesforce and other integrated systems
- Source, implement, and manage technologies used by the sales team and evaluate the effectiveness of the technologies.
- Architecture and administration of our Salesforce instance and adjacent sales tools
- Build functionality by creating Salesforce triggers, Visualforce pages, Apex code, Flows, etc.
- Design new Salesforce solutions and create effective project execution plans
- Add value to projects in all phases – definition, development, and deployment
- Engage with sales reps and sales leadership to get ongoing feedback on the sales process and structure and drive improvements to enable our teams to accomplish more with less clicks.
- Identify and develop key metrics to be communicated across the sales org and leadership that provide insights into sales performance and operational efficiency
- Work closely with sales management and leadership on implementation of solutions that maximize efficiency and conversion rates of each sales channel
- Support weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting and forecasting for the sales organization, identifying significant changes and trends that will materially impact our growth trajectory
- Monitor the accuracy of sales reports and other data and intelligence essential to the sales organization: recommend revision to existing reports, or assist in the development of new reporting tools as needed
- Work closely with the Finance team to provide accurate analysis and sales forecasting used for company financial planning

What we’re looking for
- 3 years experience in Sales Operations, with a demonstrated history of improving sales productivity by providing data-driven insights for strategy planning and sales enablement (especially within the SaaS startup space).
- 2 years Salesforce Administrator or related experience in a consulting, SaaS, sales automation or high-growth environment.
- Experience creating and managing custom objects, APEX triggers/classes and Visualforce pages/components.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce automation tooling like Process Builder and Flows.
- Experience working with technical third party integrations related to Salesforce (Rollup Helper, Chili Piper, etc.)
- Understanding of Salesforce architecture, design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with relational databases and concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and communicate
- Proven ability to fine tune complex sales processes and rollouts
- Strong financial acumen and understanding
